ATTENTION PACKERS: Under our new wellness
policy, students may not pack candy or pop in their lunches.
We ask you to make sure that your child's packed lunch
includes a source of protein, such as meat, cheese, or
peanut butter. It should also have a grain product
such as bread, as well as a fruit or vegetable. We
encourage your child to drink milk or fruit juice rather
than sugary drinks. Milk may be purchased for 50¢
in the cafeteria. Of course the easiest way to be sure
that your child gets a nutritious lunch is to have him buy
the hot lunch each day.
If your child has an
allergy to food or drink, the school must receive a note
from the doctor and a substitution will be made.
